Slow broadband should be a thing of the past
Highland Broadband’s full-fibre network is one of the fastest being built in the UK, delivering speeds of up to 10,000Mbps. It’s ideal for streaming, gaming, working from home, or running your business — all without interruption.
We’re a Scottish company through and through, and we’re on a mission to get more communities like yours out of the digital slow lane and into the fast lane. This is genuine full-fibre — right to your premises. No old copper wires, just pure speed and rock-solid reliability.
We’re planning where to build next – and by registering your interest, you can help bring faster connectivity to your community sooner. There’s no obligation, and the more interest we see in your area, the quicker we can get there. So don’t forget to tell your neighbours, friends, and family too!
Why is full-fibre so much better?
Full-fibre is capable of serving super busy households
with ultrafast speeds, using the latest fibre optic technology.
Why choose Highland Broadband?

We invest in Scotland and our people
We only build in Scotland. We employ local people, providing training and career opportunities. Our offices are in Edinburgh & Inverness, and we’re funded by the Scottish National Investment Bank.

We connect whole communities
Since 2015, it’s been our mission to connect everyone we’ve told we will. Some may take longer to reach than others, but we’re on a mission to get fibre-to-the-premises to everyone in our plans.

We work with your community
Developing relationships is important to us, becoming part of your community and lending a helping hand – even donating a free hub here and there to those who need it most.
Ultra-fast. Ultra-reliable. Ultra-affordable.

“We’ve just had our new broadband installed by Joe and Bailey and we couldn’t be happier with the service…I’ve just ran a speed check, which gave a result of almost 800Mbps, whereas we were lucky to get 25Mbps with our old broadband! We would definitely recommend the whole service.”
Frequently Asked Questions
Simply input your address into our availability checker and you’ll be able to place your order online or register your interest. Alternatively, you can call one of our friendly team on 0330 236 9900 who’ll be happy to help.
Don’t forget that we won’t take any payment until you’re connected to our service. Plus you’re covered by UK consumer rights laws which means you can cancel our service at any point during your 28-day cooling off period, which only starts after we’ve connected you.
Through the Gigabit broadband voucher scheme. The Building Digital UK (BDUK) Project Gigabit Scheme, run by the UK government, allocates a voucher to each property to help pay for the network build and provides your FREE installation once you pledge to your chosen provider.
We collate these vouchers, and the combined value contributes to the cost of the build program.
BDUK don’t release funding until we’ve connected your home and you’ve confirmed you’re happy with our service – so you really do have nothing to lose!
We usually start to get things moving around 3 months before we start connecting homes and businesses.
Once we have enough demand you’ll see our friendly engineering teams in the local area. We work at around 150 meters per day so if we do have to dig, we won’t be there for long, and no longer than a couple of hours outside a home or business.
We’re bringing the fibre network straight to your house which you can’t get from another provider.
Using a fibre cable straight to your home means you get faster broadband than using copper wire. If you’re looking for reliable broadband that delivers high speed internet which can handle more devices in the home, then our gigabit broadband is perfect for you.
You’ll even be able to receive speeds of over 5,000Mbps from the fastest broadband network in the UK.
City speeds for country living.
We offer symmetric (same upload and download) speeds of 150Mbps, 500Mbps, 1,000Mbps and 5,000Mbps packages, as well as digital calls and Whole Home WiFi Guarantee. You can see our current packages here.
Don’t let that stop you! Building new fibre networks takes time, and there’s a chance you’ll be at the end of your contract by the time your property is ready for connection. If you’re still in contract when we’re ready to connect your home, we can offer Switching Credit* to help cover any leaving fees – so you can enjoy the amazing benefits of full-fibre as soon as possible. Find out more about our Switching Credit here.

Absolutely, we start reinstatement works, including backfilling and compacting trenches, alongside the installation process. This not only helps get the roads, paths and verges rapidly back to normal, but also protects the network and ensures public safety.
The reinstatement work is carried out in line with statutory regulations and in partnership with the local authority.
Superfast broadband means that you have fibre optic cable running to your nearest cabinet, and then copper cabling from there to your home (sometimes known as FTTC), with speeds of up to 60-80Mbps, although most people receive a lot less.
Full-fibre broadband is fibre optic cable to your door, brought in via a new cable, reliably delivering internet speed up to 5,000Mbps.
Whether you live in a rural location or in more urban areas, full fibre is the most reliable broadband to keep your home happily connected.
